Umbrella singer, Rihanna said that there's no need to keep her ex beau Chris Brown 50 yards away from her, no matter what Brown has admitted to doing. As it stands, Chris Brown, who is going to be sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to assaulting Rihanna, is under court order not to communicate with her in any way, and not to come within 50 yards of her - 10 yards if they're both at the same event.

It will be up to LA Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg whether to ease restrictions between Chris Brown and Rihanna. At the last hearing, Schnegg said she would consider Rihanna's request for a less-restrictive order, which could allow the pair to be together. Rihanna's lawyer Donald Etra wouldn't comment on whether Brown and Rihanna are still romantically involved. Rihanna will not be attending the hearing. Brown is required to be there.

Chris Brown has just released a public apology through a video today (July 20), the first since the domestic altercation between the R&B/pop singer and ex-girlfriend Rihanna that took place earlier this year.

"I've told Rihanna countless times and I'm telling you today, I'm truly, truly sorry that I wasn't able to handle the situation both differently and better," said Chris Brown.
